Teaching, Learning & Professional Development for Beginning Teachers
In-class Teaching Module A
Designed to introduce and develop understanding, confidence and good practice, relating to digital, online resources and networks that connect to people and sources of pedagogical ideas, materials and personalised CPD: being a teacher in a digital world; widening the teaching and learning world.
After finishing this module, the student teachers will be able to plan, teach and evaluate digitally enhanced lessons in a confident and capable way, demonstrating strong levels of understanding and competence related to technical and pedagogical principles and practices. They will also learn to identify opportunities and learn actively for online activities related to digital learning design and innovative ICT usages.
This module has two instances, one for primary student teachers, the other for secondary student teachers.

The handbook is also available in Italian, Norwegian and Portuguese.
To introduce the course to a wider audience, we at ITELab held a briefing on the course, led by Dr Conor Galvin from the University College Dublin and Bart Verswijvel, Senior Pedagogical Adviser of the Future Classroom Lab. Some other universities piloting the courses also shared their ideas and experience with the course. Watch the video below!
